Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a bacterium that can cause infection in the stomach. The infection can lead to various diseases such as gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), ulcers and, in rare cases, stomach cancer.
DIALAB’s rapid test for H. pylori is an immunological test strip that uses antibodies to detect the presence of H. pylori antigen in a patient’s whole blood, plasma or serum. The test is easy to use and gives quick results within 10 minutes.
If H. pylori antigen is present in the sample, it reacts with the antibodies on the test strip and causes a color change. A clear red line on the test strip indicates that the H. pylori antigen has been detected and that the patient is infected.
The rapid test from DIALAB is a reliable tool for detecting H. pylori infection. It is easy to use, gives quick results and can be performed without the need for special equipment or laboratory analysis. It is important to note that a positive rapid test does not necessarily indicate an active infection because it can take several weeks for the H. pylori antigen to completely disappear after an infection has been treated.
